In January, 2022, the first Overseas Chinese Language Center of Shanghai Open University was officially launched at the National Textile University of Pakistan.
In June, 2024, the Overseas Chinese Language Center, a collaborative effort between Shanghai Open University, the Open University of Sri Lanka, and the Bank of China's Colombo Branch, was officially launched at the Colombo Campus of the Open University of Sri Lanka.
